Fundamental Underwriters Names Driver of the Year

LANSING, Mich. – Fundamental Underwriters is proud to recognize Donnie Turner of Tennessee-based McCormick Trucking as its Driver of the Year.

The award is presented annually to drivers in the commercial trucking industry with an exemplary driving record who demonstrate strong leadership and make significant contributions toward a positive safety culture within their organization.

“Donnie is a great example of what it means to be a professional driver in the trucking industry,” said Cory M. Lorincz, corporate director of safety at McCormick Trucking. “Every day he works hard to demonstrate safe and courteous behaviors toward the motoring public, his fellow professional drivers and others he encounters, and we look forward to working with Donnie for years to come!”

Turner has a reputation of dependability and excellent driving skills, particularly his maneuvering abilities and quick thinking. He has maintained an accident-free driving record with no negative CSA violations and is within the top 10 percent of driver scores in Samsara. Additionally, Turner earned praise for his attitude, work ethic and willingness to assist when there is need.
